چکیده

Abstract Recently, there has been substantial interest in the large-scale synthesis of hierarchically architectured transition metal dichalcogenides and designing electrodes for energy conversion storage applications such as electrocatalysis, rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors. Here we report a novel hybrid laser-assisted micro/nanopatterning sulfurization method rapid manufacturing molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) layers directly on sheets. This laser surface structuring not only provides ability to design specific micro/nanostructured patterns but also significantly enhances crystal growth kinetics. Micro nanoscale characterization methods are employed study morphological, structural, atomistic characteristics formed crystals at various processing conditions. To compare performance laser-structured unstructured samples, Li-ion battery cells fabricated their capacity is measured. The MoS show higher with capacities about 10 mAh cm −2 , current rate 0.1 mA . patterning 2D materials conductive sheets may enable future roll-to-roll sensing devices.

Frontiers in nano-architectured carbon–metal oxide electrodes for supercapacitance energy storage: a review

Supercapacitor (SC) is an energy storage technology that bridges the gap between conventional capacitors and rechargeable batteries. Emerging nano-architectured carbon–metal oxide composites are promising for electrode designs for supercapacitors due to their unique strategy utilizing electrochemical double-layer capacitance (EDLC) and pseudo-capacitance together in single cell to optimize the ...

A review on recent applications of brushless DC electric machines and their potential in energy saving

Electric motors are the largest consumer of world electric energy, consuming more than twice as much as lighting, the next largest consumer. Electric motors account for between 43 and 46% of all global electricity consumption approximately. They give rise to about 6 040 Mt of CO2 emissions. End‐users approximately spend USD 565 billion per year on electricity [1]. In recent years, increase in e...

Growth and Characterization of Ytterbium Doped Silicate Crystals for Ultra-Fast Laser Applications

Diode-pumped solid-state lasers (DPSSL) have predominated over waveguide lasers and fiber lasers when considering the efficiency and operability since the first realization of laser-diode pumped Yb-doped laser at room temperature (Lacovara et al., 1991). As a rule of thumb, DPSSL are preferable for devices operating with high peak power, whereas low-threshold and high-gain operation is much eas...
